The UK used vehicle market has started 2020 as strongly as it finished the final quarter of 2019. 
An 8.4% rise was recorded in the fleet sector with average prices from around £9,036 to £9,799 between the third and fourth quarters of last year. Supported by a fall in average vehicle mileage to around 47,000 miles. 
Used diesel vehicles saw an 8.8% price rise between quarter three and quarter four. Whilst used petrol vehicles rose by 6.1% over the same period. 
Prices rose by 6.4% overall during 2019 as dealers reported strong demand for 18 to 24 month old used vehicles. This positive trend continued into January with record demand.
