New LCV registrations fell by 24.8% last month, meaning the sector as a whole is now 44.6% behind last year’s January to June figures. Returns to work as a result of lockdown easements caused an improvement in June over the 74.1% fall in registrations seen in May. 
Figures show that in June 30,041 new LCV’s joined British roads, although this is an improvement on May it is still behind the figures from the previous year. 
Smaller vans showed the largest drop in demand from the previous year at 49.4%, with medium sized vans dropping by 19.1% and larger vans 22.8%. 
Registrations of pickups in June were down 26.9%. Whilst there was a growth of 1.1% in the 4x4 segment.
